Economic conditions in Japan over the last several years have meant that there's a glut of single people hoping to find matrimony.

"Marriage hunting" has become a bit of a craze. Some women are even wearing gimmicky bras that remind the wearer, somewhat humorously, of their quest. Maybe Japanese men can handle such items, but I'd imagine the average Aussie blokes would run a mile if he discovered that a woman he was dating was wearing one.
