I would have thought that "bootcamp" style dating workshops were not something Aussies would get into. They seem like such an American phenomenon. But there is clearly a demand for them, as this site attests.

 
 

Aussie blokes are reputed to be rude and standoffish to women, and more comfortable in the company of other men. If this American's view of the women he's met in Perth is true, then Australian women are similarly inept in their dealings with the opposite sex.

 
 

A dating site owner in Australia has an interesting idea: Single people should wear a badge saying "Yes I am single" to speed up the process of meeting others who are also available.

Sounds promising. However, I think that people are generally just too shy for this to really work. The wearer of such a badge might get some funny looks, but not much genuine interest.
